Gloucester City (NJ) Police Dog Missing
Scotty, a 3-year-old German Shepherd police dog for Gloucester City New Jersey, is missing after he scaled his handler's 6-foot fence and made a break for it early Sunday morning.
Gloucester City police are offering a $2000 reward to find the dog. As of Monday, the search included "more than 100 people, 35 other dogs from other police departments and a New Jersey State Police helicopter" according to NBC10 news.
"It's kind of a sinking feeling. He's my responsibility and he's missing," [Scotty's handler] Patrolman Stephen Burkhardt told the Courier-Post of Cherry Hill for Tuesday's newspapers. "I don't know what I would do if I can't find him."
