Jonathan Allison of Bristol Pennsylvania exacted a death sentence on Jowana, the Allison family's 8-week old Beagle puppy, last March. Jowanda's crime: Chewing on the 31-year old Allison's video game wires. The penalty for Jowana's crime was strangulation until Jowana choked on her own bodily fluids.

Allison pleaded guilty to the brutal crime in a Bucks County courtroom yesterday. The sentence handed down by Judge Jeffrey Finley: Probation and Community Service.

The crime came to light in March after Allison's wife, Allison Allison, brought the 8-week-old beagle puppy, named Jowana, to a veterinarian because the animal was having trouble breathing.

The dog's conditioned worsened and it was euthanized the next day. A necropsy showed that the puppy had deep bruises around its neck, and its lungs were filled with liquid.

“The puppy was essentially choking on its own fluids,” said Assistant District Attorney Mark Walz.

The vet who performed the necropsy concluded that the injuries were the result of “extensive force,” Walz said.

A maladjusted 31-year old man so desperately attached to his video game system that he chokes the life out of an 8-week old puppy for chewing on it's $5 wires, and his sentence is to perform what amounts to less than three full-time weeks of work?

Finley ordered Allison to continue seeing a mental health therapist.

Oh, fantastic. Well that'll teach him.

Allison told the judge that he would complete his community service in a facility that serves animals. Finley said that would be acceptable, but that he could also serve it helping people, depending on what the county Probation Department decides is best.

Are you kidding me? The judge finds allowing this vicious admitted puppy strangler access to additional animals "acceptable?" There is nothing "acceptable" about Jonathan Allison, his actions, or his punishment for those actions.

An 8-week old Beagle puppy is about 5 pounds.

Judge Finley should be ashamed of himself.
